Learn about Food Paks
U.S. Ministry

Here in the United States, poverty isn’t always as visible as it may be in developing countries, but in many ways it is just as devastating. A recent study by the USDA found that one in seven American families have difficulty putting food on the table. One in seven! This surprising statistic reflects the growing problem of food insecurity in our country and the effect our economy is having on children and families.

Children’s Hunger Fund (CHF) is responding to this need in two ways.

First, CHF has strategically developed Mercy Networks in key cities where poverty and food-insecurity is prevalent. Through localized church networks, CHF distributes Food Paks®, our flagship home-delivery program, and other aid to needy children and families. Through this unique program, doors are opened to meet both the physical and spiritual needs of a family.

From CHF’s Regional Distribution Centers in Los Angeles, San Antonio, and Chicago, we supply Mercy Networks in these areas:

  • CHF West
    • Los Angeles
    • San Fernando Valley
    • Santa Clarita/Antelope Valley
    • Inland Empire
    • Bakersfield
    • Orange County (pending)
  • CHF Midwest
    • Chicagoland
    • Western Michigan
  • CHF Southwest
    • San Antonio
    • Austin

In addition to Mercy Network ministry, CHF also supplies other agencies focusing on food distribution to the poor through Christian ministries. Organizations like Here’s Life Inner City, Operation Blessing, LA Dream Center, Union Rescue Mission, Convoy of Hope, and Fred Jordan Mission all reach out to the poor and underserved in their own unique ways and we are happy to support their efforts to alleviate the suffering of children across America.
